Mississauga ON, Central Library Square in Mississauga came to life with Alive Media’s free Cinema on Wheels event last night. Families came out to watch “An Inconvenient Truth”, a candid, powerful and informative documentary illuminating the facts and myths around climate change. This was the first time the Cinema on Wheels event took place in Mississauga and was in conjunction with the City of Mississauga’s “Family Movie Night Under the Stars” program, (see Mississauga.ca for more details). It was the perfect night to enjoy an outdoor movie, the state of the art screens and the amazing sound made this a very memorable night. The Hon. Navdeep Bains, member of Parliament from Mississauga Brampton south was also in attendance. He is a keen supporter of green initiatives and remarked on the importance of raising awareness of climate issues especially in light of the G8 summit which is taking place in Italy this week.
